Nursing-Friendly Fashion for the Working Mom

Being a nursing mom has it’s share of challenges and I know for me, finding clothes that are flattering and functional is one of them. Being back to work makes it even more interesting because not only do I need shirts that are convenient for pumping, I want to look professional too.

During zulily Welcome Baby Week, I found some great looks for the mom who needs to be dressed for work and also able to nurse or pump easily.

This top is a great neutral color but the sleeves add a little interest. And I don’t think it looks at all like a nursing top!!

The white button down shirt is a classic piece that should be in everyone’s closet. They don’t always translate well to pumping or nursing because you have to be so exposed so having one especially made for nursing would be great. I’m curious to know how the zippers work.

I love this color and I like that its long enough to cover the new mommy belly pouch!

This dress looks so nice and cozy for when the weather gets cooler. Some colorful accessories could really brighten it up!

This is another classic look that I dont’t think anyone would guess was a nursing dress! The wrap style is flattering on many body types too!

Playroom Re-Org

With the impending arrival of Baby Girl, we’ve had to rethink and readjust how we use the space in our house. Our 3rd bedroom is currently Brooke’s playroom and we don’t have room anywhere else for the toys and books in there so we’re making it a combo of playroom & nursery.

Dress Up Hook Over-the-door Art Organizer That means we’ve had to get creative in terms of storage. We hung hooks for dress up clothes and accessories. We got an over the door shoe organizer for art supplies. We made progress but there’s still so much to figure out and there are so many different shelving and organization systems out there, I want to make sure we’ll get the most use out of whatever we get. My poor ADHD brain has been on overload trying to think it all through.

With playroom organization on the brain 24/7, I was so intrigued when I saw these new labels from Mabel’s Labels!

Mabel’s Labels has created a great new label that combines technology with organization! Can’t remember where you put your summer clothes or those holiday decorations? With the new Scan & Store labels from Mabel’s Labels, you will never misplace your items again! Here’s how they work:
