11 Things about my Valentine

This is the 11th Valentine’s Day since I’ve met my hubby. So I will tell you 11 things I love about him…

I love…that he puts up with my procrastination, distractability and all my other ADD tendencies
I love…that he agrees to try ideas he initially thinks are crazy (cloth diapering, car seat guidelines, natural birth)
I love…that he so good at his job

I love…that he has the motivation and determination to get up and go the gym at 5:30 almost every morning
I love…the new muscles that come from said time at the gym *wink,wink*
I love…that he won a new Kindle Fire HD at his conference in California and is going to share with me!
I love…how he is crazy passionate and loyal to his sports teams

Doesn’t everyone do this??

I love…how he loves on Brooke and even took her on an awesome daddy/daughter trip last fall

Daddy/Daughter roadtrip included a Tigers game!! Complete with face painting, carousel ride and a lap around the bases!

I love…how he kept our household functioning when I was saddled with morning sickness
I love…how he is always WAY off when he tries to guess who actors/actresses are on TV and in movies

I love…that he brought me with him on this journey from Michigan to Houston to Knoxville, made me a wife and mommy and continues to make me love him more every day.

21 Weeks – Baby Gear and Boy or Girl?!?

I really don’t anticipate doing weekly pregnancy updates but I just so happened to have stuff to share again this week so here it is…

21 weeks today and Baby is the size of a pomegranate or carrot depending which baby site you’re on. Last week I mentioned looking forward to feeling more regular movement and there was a definite increase this weekend. At one point, Baby even jabbed at Brooke who had her leg on my lap while we were lazing around watching TV.  Brooke didn’t feel it but thought it was funny that “Our Baby” (I love when she says that) was trying to kick her.  We’ll see what she thinks about it in a year or so!

This weekend we also did a little baby shopping!!  Babies R Us has a semi-annual trade-in event where you can trade in certain baby items for a 25% discount on new.  So we grabbed our old spare convertible car seat and bouncy seat and turned them in.  In exchange, we ordered the crib:

The other excitement this week is that we will be having an ultrasound this week and though we opted to keep it a surprise with Brooke, we’ll be finding out the gender this time!! All 3 of us will be there to find out the big news together and I think I’m just excited to see Brooke’s reaction to seeing the Baby on the screen as I am to find out if we’re having a boy or girl!
