Burning From the Inside Out

Do y’all ever have those stupid little ailments that in the grand scheme of things are no big deal?  But living with them drives you up the freaking wall??

No, just me?

OMG y’all…I’ve had some roaring heartburn for about 4 days now. Do you see the smoke and flames coming from my mouth?

While it’s been nice to have an excuse to drink chocolate milk and eat more ice cream (loving the So Delicous coconut milk mini ice cream sandwiches), I’d much rather not have my esophogus burning at all hours of the day.

Please help me? Any tips for keeping heartburn at bay and relieving the pain once it’s here??? I’m limited acidic foods but clearly need some new ideas!

Fun on the Fourth

We decided to celebrate the 4th of July with the American past-time – baseball!

Going to a Tennessee Smokies game was on our summer bucket list and doing that on the 4th of July seemed perfect with its mix of baseball AND fireworks!

Once we got in the gates, we kept busy with some pregame activities – the carousel and checking out the team store!

We found our seats and had some stadium fare for dinner – hot dogs & pizza!! We watched a couple innings of the game before Brooke decided she was more interested in the Kids Zone than the baseball game. So I watched as she did this for 6 innings…

No we don’t know the girl she is holding hands with but they became BFFs and did their best to ride together every time.

I had a bribe of ice cream ready to go if needed, but luckily Brooke agreed it was time to watch some of the game. We made our pit stop at the concession stand and settled into our seats for the last couple innings. The Smokies rallied but couldn’t pull through in the end. But Brooke didn’t mind because win or lose, the end of the game meant…

FIREWORKS!!!

I didn’t see much of the fireworks show because it was just as much fun to watch Brooke’s face as she experienced them.

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!! I am very thankful to those who sacrificed their lives to make days like these possible.
