It broke my heart this afternoon to learn that Layla Grace, the two year old who was battling Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, had passed away earlier in the day. I’d been following the family’s blog and read yesterday through teary eyes that things were not going well. Though its unfathomable that such a beautiful child has been taken from her family, its comforting to know that she’s no longer in pain.

but my kid is so dang smart!!
It was another crazy morning in the M household. Mommy was going one way, Daddy going the other (actually Daddy is usually waiting ready at the door while Mommy runs around). I get Brooke’s shoes on and start looking for her coat when she takes off toward the kitchen. Just as I’m about to say “No snack!”, I realize Miss B is heading to the closet where her coat is hanging on the knob. Wha?!? 17 months old and she’s already two steps ahead of me!
Her daddy will tell you that’s REALLY not that hard….
